Eating out with double trouble

So we go out to eat at IHOP and all is going well.. I order the kids their own drinks with straws and they decide they want my water glass.  Now comes the dilemma.  Do I give in and keep the peace or say no and risk a major scene??  So I give in and give them each a water glass..two seconds later Evan spills the water all over my Mom's lap and a little bit later Brooke spills her water all over me.  Arghhh!   Thank goodness then the food arrived so they were busy eating but after that another meltdown by Mr. Evan.  Now for some reason there were quite a few older people in the restaurant and I guess they think it's ok to stare.  And a lady gets up to use the restroom and also gives us a look.  Either these people never had kids or something.  I decide it's time to leave as I physically have to pick up a screaming Evan although I did have to put him down to pay, which is when he runs back towards the table crying.  Looking back I'm not even sure what he wanted so bad.  Sigh!  It might be a while before we go there again.  Oh and of course they are happy as can be once they are in the car!

My First Blog

Ok so I wanted to start a blog because my babies are growing up so fast and I want to remember all the cute things they do and say and since I have no time for scrapbooking or documenting anything maybe this will take the place of that.

So we'll start with Brooke, my little chatterbox.  Things I love she says/does:

She will say "Here u go little brother or here u go little buddy", she obviously heard us say it and picked it up right away.

She just chatters away all day long, I often hear her talk to herself and u can make out "Ok" every two seconds,  Too funny.   Not too long ago they started saying "Please" which was great so instead of shrieking when they want something, I ask them to say Please (right after the shrieking).  So anyway, she will say Please then OK before I have a chance to say Yes or No.

Evan:  I love his funny faces.  He likes to lower his cute little face and look at me with a playful scowl.  He loves trucks so every time we are driving anywhere he's on the lookout for trucks.  He just learned buses, and identifies them correctly.   He loves to read his truck book and points at each picture as we tell him what kind of truck it is.

I love to hear them both laugh, and they make each other laugh.  I just watch and smile and am thankful that they have each other.

Recent words they have started saying at 27 months:  bus, thunder(along with sound effects of boom, boom, rain, playing, work, busy, (more to add later as I think of them)

I also love how they think of each other; for example, if they find something in the kitchen (at grandma's house mostly) like a cookie or juice box.  They will each take two, one for him/her and one for the other one.
